Hot like the Phoenix Heat she comes from.... Meet Alluring Rock/Blues Soulstress, singer/songwriter, Kandace Lindsey. At a time when music is defined by choreographers, stylists and cue cards, Kandace is the real thing. Kandace now claims the center stage with her new upcoming CD Phoenix Rising . Drawing influences from the likes of Seal, Christina Aguliera, Tina Turner and Lenny Kravitz, Kandace has created for herself a hard-hitting blend of Raw, Gritty, Rocky Soul music. Kandace is also a voting member of the Grammy Board NARAS.

The main ingredient is a voice all too rare these days. Her soulful voice conveys a raw, emotional, heartfelt presence that is said to have the sound of Humanity in it. Her powerful performance captivates listeners from the first delicate note until the last resounding wail.

Kandace is a true artist, because her unique individuality, fiery vocal technique, and clever melodic songwriting abilities.

Kandace (bilingual vocalist) was already a session pro when she got her big start by singing a duet called Ahora Quien with International Latin Pop Superstar Marc Anthony which, resulted in embarking on several worldwide tours with Anthony, and also with International Pop superstar Jennifer Lopez.

Daughter of saxophone playing father and mother from a lineage of singers, Kandace studied classical piano and flute at an early age. She often practicing improvisational skills playing and singing classical hits by Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, or Chaka Kahn as her father played the saxophone in accompaniment.

Striking out on her own, her talents have been widely recognized. Kandace can be heard in Coffee Bean and Tea leaf, Verizon Wireless, 24 Hour Fitness, DKNY and Steve Madden stores. Her voice can be recognized in commercial spots for retailers including Nike, Budweiser, Walmart, and Curves Womens Gym. Her songs have licensed in Showtimes Weeds, NBCs Sports Illustrated model search, in the film "A Light in the Darkness." Both her voice and her original recording of Phoenix Will Fly have been used as the theme song for the WNBA Championship team, the Phoenix Mercury for all their home games, in half time performances for the NBA's Phoenix Suns as well as the NBAE Entertainment League Celebrity Game. She has been seen as a performer on most of todays highest rated TV shows, including Oprah, Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

The personable performer keeps her feet on the ground, but her voice is up there with the angels. That is, world travelers hear her as Host of U.S. Airways New and Now Artists channel. Her music can be heard on U.S. Airways airlines "In Flight" channels, as well as those of both American and Virgin airlines. Terrestrially, she performs regularly with her band at hot Los Angeles venues including the World Famous House of Blues, Viper Room and Hotel Café.
